A couple of me and my partners have been working with independent artists lately and noticed a recurring problem. It feels like most of their success is in the hands of algorithms. One week their track pops, the next it’s buried, and building a real connection with fans outside of streams is way harder than it should be.
We’ve been experimenting with some ways to fix that for ourselves and thought it’d be cool to share here. Basically, we wanted to create something that helps artists keep track of their listeners/fans directly (instead of relying only on platforms). Early results have been interesting, it actually makes engagement feel more personal and less like a guessing game.
Curious if anyone else here has felt that same frustration, or if you’ve already found good ways to stay connected with fans outside of socials/streaming. Would love to hear what's worked for you all
