Yes, it is really tough - I never fell too far although it was pretty grim at times but I am lucky, I was never really in danger of being homeless or anything just of completely wasting my life and hurting people around me. Anyway all good now and thanks!I am trying to do it now.. a semi functioning heroin addict for 20 years on and off.. stopped completely a few years ago but only now am I trying to change..

never been a heroin addict myself, but many years ago, worked with many, through two charities.
we did a lot of work helping find people rehab, if that's what they wanted. while not everyone was successful first time around, those who really wanted it, did it in the end.
it's a long hard road, but you can get there, one day at a time.
